A basic guide to using Tompee to buy and sell your items

Registering
Creating an account couldn’t be simpler, click Register and follow on screen instructions and fill in the required details.
Your account will be ready to use immediately.
Your Account (Accessed by logging in)
- Recent Messages, Offers & Invoices:
- These 3 sections give you a list of messages, offers and invoices that you have receieved in either the past 7 days or since you last logged in, whichever is the longest time
- Buying:
- Review and cancel offers you have made, update declined offers and view accepted offers
- Selling:
- Edit and remove items you are selling, view offers made and items sold
- Messages:
- From here you can send and receive messages to/from any user. To send a message you will need to enter a username in the ‘to’ field.
- Details:
- Manage your Tompee account information.
- Invoices:
- Manage your Tompee fees when occur.
Finding an item
You can search in three different ways: browse by category, a keyword search and an advanced search.
For more control over your search results we suggest you use the advanced search function, allowing you to look within a certain category,
distance, price range or duration listed.
You can easily move between keyword and advanced search by simply clicking the link to hide and show the Advanced Search Options section.
We also offer a list of the most recent and most popular search terms, someone may already have searched for what you are looking for.
Placing an offer
Once you have found an item your interested in simply input your offer and confirm it. This offer remains valid until the seller responds to it or you cancel it.
To cancel an offer go to your ‘Buying Overview’, select the offer to cancel and press the button, then cofirm that you wish to cancel that offer.
If your offer is turned down you can choose to increase it from your ‘Buying Overview’ page. Offers can only be increased for items that are still for sale.
Once you agree a price we will exchange your contact details with the sellers to arrange payment/delivery.
Feedback
We ask you to leave feedback on the buyer/seller after every transaction. Feedback is submitted from the ‘Offers’ page.
Feedback consists of a brief summary of your experience and a rating out of ten.
Selling
Simply press the Add New Item button found on your ‘Selling Overview’ or ‘Account’ pages and complete the items details.
All items are listed without any listing fee. All sales are subject to commission
(for complete information see fees section below). To pay this commission go to your ‘Account’ and follow on screen instructions.
Payment is accepted through PayPal.
Option to edit and delete an item are available from your ‘Selling’ page. You are unable to edit an item with any pending offers. Items with pending offers that are deleted will have those offers automatically declined.
Responding to offers is carried out from the ‘Selling’ page also. Each item listed in the ‘Offers’ section leads to a page where the offers for that item can be viewed, accepted and declined. If you wish to accept or decline an offer, simply select from the options presented for each offer.
Once you agree on a sale we will exchange your contact details with the buyer to arrange payment/delivery.
Fees
Listing Fees
All items are listed for free on Tompee, there will be no fees for items listed.
